Question 1

What does The Junk Lord actually do?

Accepted Answer

Full-service junk removal, property cleanouts, and light demolition across York County, PA and surrounding towns. If it's not bolted down and not toxic, we'll haul it. Single items, full houses, sheds, hot tubs — we cover it all.

Question 2

What areas do you cover?

Accepted Answer

All of York County and the surrounding towns — Hanover, Lancaster, Harrisburg, Red Lion, Dallastown, Spring Grove, and another dozen-plus communities in south-central Pennsylvania. If it's drivable from York, we'll come.

Question 3

Do you take everything?

Accepted Answer

Almost. We can't take hazardous waste — paint, chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks, fuel, or anything with active refrigerant. Pretty much everything else, including big and awkward stuff, is fair game.

Question 4

Are you insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes. William runs a two-person crew, fully insured, in a marked truck.

Question 5

Can you come today?

Accepted Answer

Often, yes. Same-day service is available most weekdays if you call early. Worst case it's next-day.

Question 6

Do I need to be home?

Accepted Answer

Not always. For curbside or driveway pickups, you can leave the items out and we'll handle it. For full cleanouts, we usually do a quick walkthrough first.

Question 7

Do I need a permit to tear down a shed or deck?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your municipality. Several towns we serve — York City, York Township and Dover Township among them — say demolition or sheds and decks need a permit, and the rules differ by size. Check with your borough or township office before the teardown.

Question 8

How long does a whole-house cleanout take?

Accepted Answer

Most full houses are one full day. Heavier hoarder situations or large estates can run two days. We give you a timeline with the quote.
