The Junk Lord(“we,” “us,” or “our”) is a locally owned junk removal, cleanout, and demolition business operating out of York, PA. This page explains what information we collect when you use our website or request a quote, how we use it, and who we share it with.

What we collect
Information you give us through the quote form. When you submit a quote request, you may provide your name, phone number, email address, service address, the type of job, a description of the work, and optional photos of the items or area.
Information you give us by phone, text, or email. When you call, text, or email us directly, we keep what you share — your name, contact details, and details about the job — so we can quote and schedule the work.
Server logs. Our website host (Vercel) automatically records standard request information such as IP address, browser type, and time of the request. We use this for security and to debug problems with the site. We do not run Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any third-party advertising trackers on this website. We do not set marketing cookies.
How we use your information
- To respond to your quote request and schedule service.
- To plan the job — for example, to estimate truck size from photos you send.
- To contact you about your job (confirmations, ETAs, follow-up).
- To keep internal records of the work we’ve done, for accounting and customer service.
- To comply with the law when we’re required to.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Who we share information with
We share limited information with the service providers we use to run the business:
- Vercel — hosts our website and stores any photos you upload through the quote form (using Vercel Blob).
- Resend — delivers quote-request emails from our website to our inbox.
- Our phone, email, and calendar providers — the normal tools we use to receive your calls/texts/emails and schedule the work.
These providers only see the information they need to do their job, and only use it on our behalf. We may also share information when required by law (for example, in response to a valid subpoena).
How long we keep it
We keep quote requests and job records for as long as we need them to run the business — typically the lifetime of the customer relationship plus a reasonable period afterward for accounting and tax purposes. Server logs are kept for a short period by our hosting provider and then purged.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. To do any of those, contact us at william@thejunklord.com or (717) 654-6138. If you ask us to delete your information, we may keep what we’re required to keep (for example, completed-job records for tax purposes).
Children
Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through our site, contact us and we’ll delete it.
Security
We use reputable hosting and email providers and protect your information with reasonable technical and organizational measures. No online service is perfectly secure, but we treat your information the way we’d want ours treated.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on this page for a reasonable period.
