For that, a crew showing up for two hours isn't the answer. A dumpster rental is. Ours is a 14-yard dump trailer that we deliver to your driveway. You fill it at your own pace. When you're done, call us and we haul it away. William is the one you talk to about the rental, the price and the pickup, start to finish.

Why we use a dump trailer

When most people picture a dumpster, they picture a big steel box. Ours is a dump trailer, and that's on purpose. A trailer is built to sit in a residential driveway, right next to the work.

Same idea, easier to live with: you get the space to toss junk for as long as the project takes, and we haul the trailer away when you're finished.

Dumpster rental or full-service junk removal?

We do both, so here's the honest version. Rent the trailer if you want to work at your own pace, if the junk comes out a little at a time, or if you've got help lined up to do the lifting.

Book full-service junk removal if the stuff is already piled up and you'd rather not touch it. Our two-person crew carries everything out of the house, loads it and sweeps up, all in one visit.

Compared to hauling it yourself

York County residents can take construction debris to the county's Small Load Drop-Off, but some materials come with tight limits. Drywall, plaster, tile and insulation are capped at two 42-gallon contractor bags per disposal, and lumber has to be cut to 6 feet or less.[1]

On a real remodel, that turns into a lot of trips. A trailer in the driveway takes the trips out of it.

Getting the most out of the trailer

Break down furniture and flatten boxes so they don't eat up air space. Put the heavy, flat stuff on the bottom and spread the weight from front to back instead of piling it all in one corner. Keep the load below the top of the sides so nothing blows out on the road.

Before we drop it off, move cars out of the way and make sure there's room to back in clear of low branches and wires.

What we don't handle
