Whole House Cleanouts in York County, PA
Every room, the basement, the attic and the garage, cleared on one plan and left broom-clean.
A house cleanout is the whole job: every room, every closet, the basement, the attic, the garage and whatever is living in the shed out back. William walks the house with you first, room by room. Anything you flag stays put. Usable furniture and household goods go to donation drop-offs, and the rest gets loaded, hauled and disposed of at licensed transfer stations. We run as many truck loads as the house needs and finish with a broom-clean sweep. Most full houses take one full day. A heavy hoarder situation or a big estate can run two.

What's Included
- Room-by-room walkthrough with William before anything moves
- Anything you flag stays, and we work around it
- Two-person crew, fully insured, in a marked truck
- All the lifting, carrying and loading, attic to basement
- Donation drop-offs for reusable furniture and household goods
- Multiple truck loads as needed, with disposal at licensed transfer stations
- Broom-clean finish in every room we empty
What We Take
- Bedroom, living room and dining room furniture
- Kitchen contents: dishes, pots, pantry shelves, small appliances
- Refrigerators, washers, dryers and chest freezers
- Clothing, linens, books and boxes of paper
- Mattresses, box springs and bed frames
- Basement shelving and decades of stored boxes
- Attic totes and holiday decorations
- Garage tools, lawn equipment and shed contents
- Old TVs, computers and stereo gear
How the job goes
- Step 1Photos or a walkthrough
Text pictures of each room to (717) 654-6138 for a first look, or have William walk the house with you. Point out what stays, what you'd like donated, and anything you're not sure about yet.
- Step 2Price confirmed upfront
The price is based on how much space the contents will take up in the truck. It's confirmed before we lift a thing, so the number at the end is the number you agreed to.
- Step 3Room by room, top to bottom
We clear one room at a time so nothing you flagged gets swept up with the rest. Reusable pieces get set aside for donation; everything else goes on the truck.
- Step 4Loads out, floors swept
We run as many loads as it takes, then sweep every room we emptied. You, your realtor, the estate attorney or the property manager can walk it when we're done.
One crew for every kind of house cleanout
People call this a lot of things: a house clearance, a full house cleanout, clearing out Mom's place, turning over a rental. The work underneath is the same. Empty the property and leave it ready for whatever comes next. What changes is the pace, who's making the calls, and how much sorting happens before things go on the truck.
- Estate cleanouts, when an executor or the family is settling a loved one's home
- Hoarder cleanouts, handled judgment-free and confidentially, at the household's pace
- Foreclosure and eviction trash-outs for landlords, banks and asset managers
- Move-out cleanouts at the end of a lease or before a closing
- Single-space jobs when it's only the garage, the basement or the attic
Where a houseful of stuff goes in York County
York County's household trash is delivered to the Resource Recovery Center on Blackbridge Road in Manchester Township. It's a waste-to-energy plant: the county's combustible household waste is burned there to make electricity, and the ash takes up about a tenth of the original volume.[1][2]
A few things in every house can't ride along with the trash. Pennsylvania's Covered Device Recycling Act has kept TVs, desktop and laptop computers, monitors and computer peripherals out of household trash since January 24, 2013, so they get pulled aside for electronics recycling.[3][4]
Refrigerators, freezers, window air conditioners and dehumidifiers hold refrigerant. Federal law prohibits venting it during disposal, and at the county's Small Load Drop-Off the Freon is removed before those units are recycled.[5][6]
Full cleanout or a dump trailer?
If you'd rather sort and toss over a few weekends, we can drop our 14-yard dump trailer in your driveway instead. You fill it on your own timeline, and we haul it when you're done. If you'd rather not touch any of it, the full house cleanout is the one where we do every bit of the carrying.
What we don't handle
- Hazardous waste: paint, chemicals, asbestos, propane tanks
- Liquids of any kind
