“Awesome! These guys came on a Sunday to help me clean out my rental we were moving out of! I couldn’t has done it with out them!”
Move-Out Cleanouts in York County, PA
The stuff that isn't making the move, hauled out so you can hand over the keys.
Every move leaves a pile: the couch that won't fit in the new place, the mattress nobody wants to wrestle down the stairs, the basement shelves, the junk drawer that turned into a junk room. A move out cleanout takes that pile off your list. Point at what's not coming with you and we load it, haul it and sweep up where it sat. It works for renters at the end of a lease, homeowners getting ready to close, and landlords clearing out what a tenant left. Text photos to William for a price, and it's confirmed before we start.

How the job goes
- Step 1Tag what stays behind
Walk the place and put tape or a sticky note on everything that isn't coming. It makes pricing quick and keeps anyone from grabbing the wrong dresser.
- Step 2Text photos for a price
Send pictures of the tagged pile to (717) 654-6138. William confirms an upfront price based on how much truck space it takes.
- Step 3Pick a day that fits the move
Book us for after the movers leave or before the final walk-through, whichever leaves the clearest path.
- Step 4Loaded, hauled, swept
We carry everything out, take usable pieces to donation drop-offs, and sweep the spots we cleared.
Why the curb won't take your move-out pile
The first instinct is to drag it all to the curb. In York County, trash pickup is handled by the hauler your municipality contracts with, or one you hire yourself in some townships. Their limits are built for a normal week, not a move.[1][2]
- YCSWA's guide for municipal trash contracts suggests weekly limits along the lines of 3 to 4 bags or one 96-gallon tote.[3]
- One hauler's York Township rules allow one large item per week by appointment, refuse anything too heavy for two people to lift, and take no construction debris at the curb.[4]
- York County residents can haul overflow themselves to the Small Load Drop-Off at the Resource Recovery Center, which the county describes as the spot for people with more trash than their hauler will take. A fee applies to trash loads.[5][6]
Renters, sellers and landlords
Moving out of a rental is common around here. 46.6% of occupied homes in Hanover borough are rented, 54.9% in Dallastown and 57.4% in Middletown.[7][8][9]
- Renters: clear the unit before the final inspection. What counts as clean is up to your lease and your landlord.
- Sellers: empty the house before closing so the buyers walk into a blank slate.
- Landlords: haul what the last tenant left so the turnover can start.
The old TV can't go in the trash bin
When the old TV or desktop doesn't make the move, it can't go out with the bags either. Pennsylvania's disposal ban on TVs, computers, monitors and peripherals took effect in 2013.[10][11]
York County residents can recycle electronics for free at the Resource Recovery Center or at the Fairview and Penn Township recycling centers, with a limit of five TVs per visit. In Dauphin County, the county recycling center on S. Cameron Street in Harrisburg takes TVs and computers for free.[12][13][14]
What we don't handle
